[Long story short: Austria is slow, got lost, and is achy from that war. Even with his Ponyta kicking ass in speed and whatnot. So what could have taken him six days to do (average time - Ponyta skillz) took him fourteen. Hence why he hasn't been attentive to his Gear. At all. Or his map, for that matter. But he considers that, y'know, it'd be a good idea to alert whoever was near that he cared to see know that he was, well, in Violet City. Finally.]

This contraption...so unnecessary.

[He clears his throat, straightens up, and ducks behind Reiten the Ponyta to avoid being seen as he makes this transmission. Hey, it's embarrassing talking into this thing. NO ONE MUST SEE. But if anyone has spoken to him before, they might noticed he sounds more...tense than usual.]

I've arrived in Violet City. Reiten and I have made it without much difficulty, although...the food given was less than satisfactory.

[...And then he can no longer bear to bottle his frustration in any longer.]

And would someone kindly instruct me as how to block this horrid noise from ever being heard again?! This is an insult to art!

[ 'sup. Netherlands happens to be in the general area. He walks up to the Ponyta (it's cute, he thinks) and notices Austria speaking into the PokéGear. ]

Buy ear plugs. Or get used to it.

[...Well he didn't exactly plan for Part B of his avoid-being-seen plan. He stands up straight, adjusting that cravat of his nervously and looks up at Netherlands. Good god this man is tall.]

Ear plugs? They're kind enough to provide those but torture us by means of terrible...sound?

[And Reiten, seeing a new person, immediately gets closer to Netherlands and nudges him, pet me pet meeee]

Are you still expecting logic to apply to this place.

[ He looks at the Ponyta and his immediate thought is basically "Why do you want me to pet you, you're on fire" but decides to pat its back where there isn't any flames. ]

I have some hope for this world's sense of civilization.

[Reiten neighs happily, nudging under his hand. She loves everyone, her flames are never hot unless...well it hasn't come to that. And it's only then that Austria notices.]

R-Reiten! Don't be rude!

Don't bother. This place is messed up.

[ Just keeps petting her, noticing that the mane and the tail doesn't seem to generate heat at all. Still, common sense keeps him from touching the fire. ]

[Okay, yes, she likes this guy. She likes him lots. Happiness => up. Austria just...drops it, whatever, as long as his horse isn't doing anything apocalyptic-like.]

He looks at him without saying anything for a few seconds. Netherlands recalls Austria being unfamiliar with technology and asking if there was a ship (instead of a flight) to Europe, so he decides to ask: ]

[By this point, he's used to that, but at the same time...very apparent stiffening of uncomfortableness.]

It' so cute, aru~! [Still holding his Seel in his arms, China walks over to the pokemon to get a closer look. As he got closer, he could've sworn that he head a familiar voice.]

[He looks closely at the Ponyta and notices Austria.] Oh? So you too, Austria?

[Not being much of one to get involved with anyone outside Europe at this point, he's only heard of China, and reacts appropriately. After he...brushes himself off to look more presentable. Yeah. That's important.]

Have we...met, before? My apologies if I've let it slip my mind.

Um... [Not only was Austria here too, but he was also from the past just like Spain and Romano. What to say, what to say...]

[Time for some confusion!]
